... You eventually run out of controllable tie-breakers, then do a coin toss.

I agree. But nobody benefits more from inflated SOS than the Big 10 so even then, some lesser teams can sneak in.

I think when most people say SOS I think they mean Strength of Record. Our SOS wasn’t great, but our SOR was fantastic
