There were two potential targeting calls in the 4th quarter of the ASU game, one by each team. On the ASU INT, there is
also a case to be made for targeting. What would the result of that call been? It looked to me like the contact occurs immediately after the interception so possession had already technically changed hands. Would a call there have negated the interception? Would it have been 15 yards from the spot of the interception?
ASU did score a TD on the ensuing drive (the first play after the INT was the long pass to Skattebo), so the non-call benefitted ASU.
If that had indeed been targeting, would Texas have kept the ball?
