Like if I know Will Snowden and have his phone number, any reason I can't text him and tell him how much I'm willing to pay for Smith to come to BYU? (The number is $500 for anyone who is curious - Will, if you're reading this, that's a low end discount brand 60 inch TV at some places, and Smith can have that ON ME if he comes to BYU).

And more formally: Without any discussion of payment, anything that prohibits, say, Chad Lewis or Kalani, from grabbing a player from another team after a game and saying "we'd love to see you in royal blue, get in touch if you want to hear more?"
