Right, and I think the impact is likely minuscule, but I agree with you to an extent.
My point is that the OP is upset at 247, a bunch of people have responded saying that these rankings impact ESPN metrics like FPI and SOR, and so far the only evidence posted (your link, which is extremely old) does not include 247.

Whether FPI uses 247 specifically, or another rating tool, the concept is still the same-recruiting ratings matter...
