Just punch it in when we're in the red zone. If we get to fourth down, run it again or kick a field goal. I wonder if we attempted the 2-point conversion throw last night to let Jake pass it in the red zone again without the pressure of there being six points on the line. Maybe it was to give him a little confidence. Didn't work out very well. In fact, it almost got returned for two points the other way except that the guy stepped out of bounds.
If we had just run it in the red zone until fourth down and kicked a field goal on that series where Jake threw into coverage again (I think it was late in the third quarter?), I wouldn't have been upset about anything at all last night. It's the feeling that we haven't learned from several costly interceptions in the end zone (especially last year against OK and this year against KS) that's so frustrating. Regardless, we dominated the Buffs last night.
