I know the reverse is true (take adenoids out along with infected tonsils),
but I've never heard of taking out the tonsils as a matter of course while taking out the adenoids. Definitely worth a discussion to find out why. I imagine it may have to do with a high probability of needing tonsils removed in the near future if adenoids are removed?
