A single scratch year could do them wonders in terms of refinement. To some that might lead to D1 offers after only one year. But you really want to take 2 full years of D1 opportunity from the kid who needs two JC years to cash in on some decent (or any) D1 & NIL offers?
I definitely understand why kids would like some level of redemption in a system that offers them zilch for JC play. Listening to guys like Retzlaff describe JC ball is pretty depressing.
