lots spent on retaining players too, for example USC offered Glasker a huge amount of money
to hit the portal….lots of our best players were offered money to leave, BYU has been able to keep pretty much every top guy, that’s costs money.
I would argue that is better than landing a top recruit. BYU also will not play games with recruits, BYU is transparent and it costs them some recruits because they won’t promise playing time. But schools that do that get too guys, but also deal with 20-30 transfers a year too. Kalani ain’t playing that game.
