that are vastly superior to human drivers at predicting and reacting, if you put that on every car where they are all integrated together in a system think complete visibility and tracking at all times (think cars on tracks aka autopia at Disneyland where the speed is controlled), I don't know how deaths do not go down drastically especially since that means the bad drivers will be having the AI doing the decisions rather there in many times 'drunk' minds. I know there is a debate about freedom and maybe safety of said systems but there are many areas where we've turned our safety over to machines and I think overall it has increased. I don't think the discussion will be about safety it will be about control and freedom.
