Lots of townhome villas there on the golf course. Should be plenty of options.

Kauai Beach Resort is fairly affordable. You can find time share rooms on vrbo.

We prefer the Princeville area - especially in the summer

Our experience is similar. Poipu in the winter, Princeville in the summer.

Kauai is really pretty but not the best island for having things to do as much as just enjoying the laid back
