I don't really NEED one, but there's a local auction company that brings in about a dozen of them every 2 months for their online equipment auction. There are times when it would be nice to have for light duty maintenance, snow removal off sidewalks, digging post holes (you can get an auger attachment), concrete work prep, etc.
The last several auctions they've sold for between $4500 and $6500. The market appears to be somewhat saturated now, and most of this crop is sitting at around $2000 with 3 hours left in the auction. If I can get one for less than $3K, I think I'll buy one. I'm not sure how much I'd actually use it. But it looks like it would be better than a tractor or the skid steer for certain things.
Anyway, anyone with experience with them? How hard are parts to find when it inevitably breaks? How capable are they actually?
