Are you in Utah? If so, Provo River is a great place to learn. Ryan Newman is a
great guide (teacher and coach at PG High). I don't know if he's still in the guide game but if he is, he's well worth a couple trips—and he's great with kids and teens (which might be a factor depending on how old your son is).
