Yes, he quit. Because he didn't want to deal w the conditions raised by the AthDept.

Just because Bronco didn't allow the process to work its way into some kinda compromise (where he stayed as the coach under different conditions — or agreed that leaving was his best option) — doesn't mean the decision wasn't mutual. There were conditions put forth by the AD that played a big hand in Bronco's decision to leave.

I would call that mutual.
