-How else do they end up with Miami 10-2 and the third best team in the ACC, at #12 in spite of the fact their best win came against the 10th place team in the SEC?
-How else do you end up with a 3 loss Alabama team that was completely manhandled, 24-3, by an Oklahoma team that finished 2-6 in the SEC? And that doesn't take into account Alabama losing to 6-6 Vandy.
-How else does a 9-3 Clemson team end up ranked #17, one spot ahead of a BYU team that finished 10-2 and beat 11-1 SMU on the road?
Once again, this doesn't take into account the fact that the ACC is softer than a roll of 3-ply Charmin this year.
BTW, Clemson's best win according to ESPN's FPI, came against 6-6 Virginia Tech.
-Here's another fun fact that not many are talking about. The last place team in the Big 12, Ok. St., beat an Arkansas team that finished 6-6 in the SEC and beat the 7th ranked team in the CFP rankings, Tennessee.
This is not just a BYU thing, CFP committee is intentionally targeting the Big 12 as a conference for whatever reason.
