I had a similar injury this summer. Over a grand and they didn't do anything.

I ended up getting help from a friend to glue it shut because I couldn't eat. With that it was fairly will closed within a few days.

I'm still fighting with er and insurance.

IANAD but my kid had the same and they said to not stitch it unless it was needed on the outside. It was amazing how
