Our short and medium passing game is very poor
Unless we convert chunk plays for the most part, we are doomed. Its one of the reasons our 3rd down conversion rate is so poor, we are usually in down and distance problems.
I'd like to see us develop that a bit more. 2 of the most prevalent passing attacks which have roots at BYU (the West Coast Offense and the Air Raid and their derivatives) heavily utilized the short passing game.
Except for stupid screen passes we really don't throw it much under 10 yards.
