I'm not totally a grey hair yet, but I have a very clear recollection of the 80s
with BYU football. They were, in fact, awesome. BYU revolutionized the game. We don't need to minimize that.
That said, ever since the 1984 national championship was awarded I have been dreaming of getting into a power conference and, for several decades, I've been dreaming of getting an expanding playoff that gave us meaningful access.
Why can't I love both then and now?
