I’m not an X’s and O’s Expert, but I rewatched that play a handful of times
and I don’t see Lassiter dodging it or doing anything wrong. It sails on Jake and it’s too high for Lassiter to reach even though he tried. If he gets hit in stride BYU has the ball at the 30 yard line at worse and much more if Lassiter makes some moves or breaks a tackle.
