cougarmeister How does this work?
I live in the area and my kids ride bikes along Timpview Dr. to get to school
I'm so sorry to hear about the accident, and I completely agree that something needs to be done and 100% support a dedicated bike lane (with a physical barrier to keep out cars) along Timpview Drive.

As far as the 'prototype' effort, I didn't feel like it was done very well, both from a practicality standpoint (for example, the temporary roundabouts didn't leave room for larger trucks to go through the roundabout without either driving up on the sidewalk or bumping two wheels over the top of the roundabout barriers) and from a marketing/publicity standpoint in that I don't think most people in the area knew that it was going to happen, the temporary roundabout, cones & barriers to shape traffic, etc. just sort of showed up one day.

I lived in the Netherlands for a few years and have seen first-hand the benefit of safe bike paths that are physically separated from automobile traffic, and I know it would impact my neighbors who want to park along Timpview, but to me, this is one of those "greater good" situations and would love for Provo to just force the issue and get it done.
