not all deserving of a berth. The top 3 of the SEC are solid, but the other teams aren't all powers. Georgia is flawed. Bama is flawed. Ole Miss is flawed. It's funny that after Vandy beat Bama, suddenly Vandy is powerhouse. Sadly, Vandy returned to the mean. Examples of OCC:
Miami destroyed @Florida
Cal beat @Auburn
@ASU beat Miss St.
@Georgia State beat Vandy
USC beat @LSU
ND beat @TA&M
@OK St. beat Arkansas
The lie is that the SEC beats up on themselves, but they also play very uneven schedules. Florida has played the tough teams. Texas and A&M have not. Then fact that the SEC only plays 8 conference games skews their records. The top middle teams would have one more loss. With the top teams with two losses and the middle teams with 3-4, they should only have 3/4 legit teams vying for a place in the playoffs
The B12 is the next best conference (based on the statistical ratings). Then why does the B10 have 4 of the top 6 teams and the SEC has 5 in the top 12? The committee and TV partners will always overvalue the top logos.
I'd like more conferences represented with more teams.
