Clearly the Big 12 isn't much (if any) better than the PAC or assorted G5 conferences? Or is it possible that teams are different in various seasons. 2021 Cincy was amazing regardless of their conference. They aren't now.
Texas this year is a lot better than they were in years past when they struggled in the Big 12. It's not that the competition got easier so they're suddenly having more success.... it's that they changed.
Also, for what it's worth, the Big 12 is 5-9 in OOC P5 games this year, worst among P5s. The SEC is 10-5, which puts them at the top. If we're winning 35% of our games agianst P5 competition, it's hard for the conference to get respect. Which is unfortunate, because we (BYU) took care of business in our OOC against the best OOC opponent any Big 12 team played
