If CFB really wants to cultivate fanship it should leverage the NIL moment to create more parity, not concentrate power in the programs of two conferences. The NFL is the most successful pro sports league in the world's most lucrative sports market bc fans believe their team can have a shot - and they have reason to believe that.
CFB should actively cultivate that kind of competitive parity, because (a) it provides better entertainment and (b) it results in a larger number of engaged fan bases.
