Committee and most college football pundits don’t respect BYU. And that won’t change until we actually win something.

As much as we hate Utah, and we mock them for losing two rose bowls, they actually had credibility and brand with voters because of it. Just look at their preseason ranking. Had Utah been 9-0, they would have been in the top three, and even with a loss I bet they would have stayed in the top nine or so.

We need to make a name for ourselves and at least make the playoff and be competitive. Nothing will change until we win some big games.

The great news is, we at least have enough of a seat at the table to control our own destiny. If we really want respect, we need to go into Tempe and control that game and win. And not some miracle where we score on the last second or have to kick a game-winning field goal.
