The interesting part to me is how many people have seen the musical. It premiered on Broadway
in 2003 and has been playing all across the globe since then.

Do potential movie goers want to go and relive the memory? Do they want to see if it is better than what they watched? Will they capture a whole separate audience that didn't want to see the play, but for $10 would go see the movie (seems like this could be the case for many families)?

Overall it was a solid play, if they do the movie right I'm sure it will be a hit.
