It is amazing to me that this has upvotes. First off, if you believe you were the only one calling for Tuiaki to go
you are 100% flat out wrong. Why were we calling for Tuiaki to go? Because his schemes were extremely basic and he was terrible in recruiting strategy. The numbers bore this out (after people realized the game of shortening possessions). If you want to argue that ARod is not a great recruiter we can have a conversation, but that isn't what you were doing.

The funniest part of your comment was look at the data. I would love to, but it isn't going to show what you think it does.

FEI does a great job with the ratings, but I would gladly take a look at another stat if you want. Here is what FEI says:

2024: 48th
2023: 98th - Yes we know this year was very poor
2022: 23rd
2021: 4th
2020: 2nd (yes he was calling plays for the majority of this season)

So on average under Roderick we have been the 35th best offense in the country...and the rankings are only that low because of an issue with an OL coach. Now that falls under the purview of the OC, but probably more so of the HC. Either way they both take blame and that absolutely wrecked our 2023 season.

Now compare that to previous regimes:

2019: 74
2018: 64
2017: 119
2016: 67
2015: 44

So the previous 5 years we had an average of 73.6.

We can keep going:
2014: 51
2013: 48
2012: 61
2011: 42
2010: 67

So for those 5 years we averaged 53.8.

For the decade before A-Rod became the coordinator we averaged 63.7 and with A-Rod as coordinator we have averaged 35th including the 3 best offenses in those 15 years.

Quite frankly, based on the numbers you alluded to, A-Rod is one of the best play callers in the country. Of course he needs talent to execute on those plans. Talent he had in 2020, 2021 and 2022. Retzlaff is not Zach Wilson nor Jaren Hall.... at least not yet (I have a hard time seeing him get to that point with his throwing motion, but hopefully he does and proves me wrong).

If you think Austin Collie is calling for A-Rod to be fired then we listened to very different segments. I too was not happy with every play call. I'm neither is A-Rod as hindsight is 20/20. Feel free to criticize. But you told me to look at the data. The data says A-Rod is really good. Sorry to disappoint you.
