Differences are - Jake has a MUCH stronger arm than Taysom, and Taysom is obviously MUCH faster and overall elite as an athlete than Jake and basically everyone.
I'm too young to fully remember it, but I remember it being a critique of Steve Young as a junior that he also lacked touch at times. Which is probably why he threw five INTs in one half of his second start.
Jake absolutely nails some passes some of the time - his cover two hole shot to Chase against KSU is as elite of an NFL throw as any BYU QB has ever made. So he's got the capability, I think he needs more development - if he progresses from this year to next year at the same rate he has from last year to this year he CAN be elite for his senior season, the same way a lot of BYU QBs who weren't elite as juniors (Young, Sark, Doman) were by their senior year.
