if you plan on doing a fishing charter (we did) there are also plenty of nice hotels along denarau island, which is where most charters leave from.

FWIW we hiked Mt. Batilamu and it was amazing, if you are into that--can see the whole isalnd and many others from the summit. They also make a lunch for you when you get back in the little village down there--met the local villagers and have an entirely different experience than the resort
