as someone who has had a tacoma, an f-150, and now a maverick
I'll say the Taco was the most fun to drive, and easily the best looking, but it was so underpowered (2016, so third gen). driving up and over i15 at traverse was the worst. Every time, even after tuning and tweaking the tune, the downshift and the adjustments were so jarring. And don't get me started on the gas mileage.

The f150 was awesome and had a lot of guts, but was a tank to park and drive around and when 90% of your driving is city/commuting, it gets old.

The maverick interior has more creature comforts than any of the other similar-sized trucks we sat in, and for a 2.0L twin turbo, it has quite a bit of pep (more than I expected). it drives nice, and while not nearly as capable off road as the taco, it is far less of "need" that I have. My wife actually likes the front seats in it more than she does in her Kia.

Honestly, I really like it.
