ST, against a team that has competed at a very high level against everyone they've played. They've still far exceeded expectations, and done some really great things this season, not to mention being very entertaining. Just being in the conversation at this stage of the season is a win. They still control their own destiny - don't lose again, go on a 3 game win streak, and you're in the CFP, go on a 6 game win streak, and you're national champs - who'da thought BYU would be there.
But although they've been dancing with danger for too many games, this loss may be the reset they've needed (or not, we'll see). But, 4/22 on 3rd down conversions over 2 games "ain't" gonna get it done. Play calling and decision making on 3rd down has been a huge issue, and if they don't fix that, they will lose again.
And we could use less bounces off Evan Johnson's helmet. Just why is it that DB's seem to far too often not look for the ball, but instead play facing the opposite direction of where the ball is coming from?
