games (OSU, Utah, Kansas) come down to the last drive.
I think Kalani has been a good ceo but his OC is undermining him. However, a good CEO identifies areas of deficiency and fixes them.
Will Kalani make the necessary OC change after this season is what will be telling.
I mentioned this after the game, but Jason Beck has a high powered, fun to watch offense at New Mexico right now. They are averaging right at 500 yds per game (split almost evenly at 245/245ish pass run yds) and ranked 5th nationally in total offense.
They’ve made a roughly 45 position jump from last season and likely going to make a bowl game (after going 4-8 last year which was their best record in roughly a decade) with years of mediocrity before that. For him to do this at New Mexico of all places, is nothing short of impressive.
If not Ja Beck, Kalani HAS to find someone similar otherwise this season will be an anomaly and we’re back to playing .500 football for the foreseeable future because, as poor as Arod has been w/ play calling, he is even worse at recruiting.
