a great idea ("yay, free education") , but then they don't fund their own bills to back it up. This will impact all classes, not just band, because education is severely underfunded. Any extras our kids get from education (field trips, lots of classroom supplies, etc.) won't be funded. Education will be bare bones at best. As a parent, I'd much rather pay a class fee than have my son or daughter out selling stuff. I'm all for a free education, but the government needs to put their money where their mouth is and pay for it.
