If the issue is only "compression" id only fix it for comfort.
The mounts are like bushings. Some have a hydraulic/liquid component. But the description of "compession” suggests to me that a bushing like material is flattened and not providing as much cushion or control as when new. Fixing might decrease noise and vibration. If those aren't bothering you, I'd keep driving it.
