Car Motor mount question, I know my way around older cars, had a my car in for
Vacuum leak it was the fuel tank valve, I did some basic check and could isolate the leak and had two new tire out on.

I was due free oil change, the car is has 70,000 miles 90% freeway commuting im very easy on this car (not a truck) my goal is over 150,0000 very doable, they call and said we RECOMMEND, new motor mounts your show sign of compression (I don’t drive this car hard and very little stop and go driving).

I have motor mount go bad before and break on me, usually after a 100,000 miles and only on trucks.

I know the recommendation is an upsale, yet how do you check if a motor mount is worn out, no hard hits when motor starts, no Clunk on roughy roads.
What should I look at when I get the car back.
