Hard to tell where the other DBs were or would be if he threw to the left. They weren’t on the left a few seconds into the play.
If they were chasing in trail technique likely takes them a few seconds longer to reroute to cut off WR but they have to beat him to the end zone
They were deep so they had a reasonable chance but it easily goes for 15+ down the sideline
