I think we’re done here. All of these clips are pretty clear that he grabs, pulls hard enough not just to impede the route but nearly pulls him down. It may not have been called routinely, but it happened right in front of the referee. He couldn't not call it. It would have been officiating malpractice if he didn’t call it. That's the bottom line. No conspiracy theory, nothing nefarious. Just a ref doing his job. Utah DBs and coaching took a calculated risk to push the envelope on what they can get away with. They took that risk all game and got away with it when it wasn't as obvious or visible. But this one was obvious, had to be called, and it happened to occur at the worst possible moment for the Utes.
