because junior colleges work together with 4-year universities on academic
requirements. That's why. That's a big point of a junior college - to get credits that will be accepted for a transfer to a 4 year university.

What an empty argument that because JUCO is under a different umbrella that the college athletics there can't count towards the years of NCAA eligibility.

Sure - if we move to a fully professional state where the athletes are employees and being a student is optional, then that's different. We are not there yet.

While we are still under the student-athlete standard, there would have to be some definition of what the requirements are to be a student who is eligible to participate.
