Some people love Glocks, for instance, but the grip and grip angle just don't feel right to me when actually shooting them. Sometimes the manual of arms for one gun will be more intuitive to you than another, etc. The folks who work at the range usually love to help and share their wisdom with people who are getting into (or back into) shooting.
