The SEC and the B10 are the ones that made the rules so they could maximize $$$
They can go suck on a fat toad if they complain about it now.
Win your freaking conference and you'd get a bye as well.
Maybe Dan is just speaking out of turn or making assumptions and no one from the SEC/B10 is or ever will complain about it. But it does sound like something they would complain about to be fair.
