I took it hoping it would be an easy class to get me excited about doing family history work. It did the opposite.

Way too much work in my opinion. Was taught for the first time by a professor who was used to teaching family history majors (is that a thing?) or upper level family history. She had us do the same work as her upper level classes or majors on a slightly scaled down project. Completely turned me away from family history.
