He needs a couple years to up his game and BYU is the best place to do that. If he leaves his spot on the roster will likely be filled with a player with more potential and athleticism. Since he won’t get many minutes losing him won’t be much of a loss.
If he goes somewhere else he will be starting from scratch with that program and that doesn’t always work out too well.
I can see a formula for BYU of getting 5-6 four year players and the rest of the roster with transfers and short term players. The 4 year players need to be leaders and glue guys that work with the staff to develop chemistry with the new players. Dallin, Richie and Trevin are perfect examples.
