That it's definitely nice to win, but that win or lose, it doesn't impact their higher level goals for the season. Whereas BYU basically had nothing but pride to play for after the first loss of the season, and so it was a huge deal for us.
This year it's completely flipped. We absolutely still want and expect to win... but it's not the same importance as past years. Which is funny because it's also the year we can/should feel most confident. And at the same time, it's a year where the game matters more to Utah than normal - all their 'other goals' for this season have already gone up in smoke, so they're playing to salvage some small matter of pride. It's probably more important to them than any time in the last decade.
As someone who frequents both Utah and BYU boards it's really fascinating to see how well your, kosmo, NYCougz and Rhino's comments match up with what I've heard from Utah fans in previous years
