on to my handlebar while we drove home so he could stop me at each intersection. In Japan, the buildings were literally right up against the roads so you could not see what was coming until you were right at the corner.
As we approached one intersection, he decided it would be funny to throw me forward...just as he let go a large truck came barreling through the intersection and would have hit me if I had continued forward. Luckily when he threw me, he yanked hard on the handle bar which caused me to swerve heavily to the left and I slammed into an electrical pole just a couple feet in front of where the truck was.
I was about 36 inches away from certain death.
