leave the state of Utah, his heart attack changed their perspective of aspiring for jobs that would increase the amount of stress relative to what he already has in his current position, he is already making as much or more in his current position as AHC/DC (and BYU will happily pay him more if needed) than what USU could pay him as HC, and he knows given his recent circumstances that coaching at BYU gives him more freedom and time for his family and other priorities than what would be offered in a similar or increased position at any other P4 program.
That’s not to say that another P4 school coming along and offering $5 million plus a year to be their HC wouldn’t at least be entertained, but it will take MUCH more than money to lure him away from his current job. He knows how great he has it, and no G5 school can lure him away.
