The similarities end there. First year head coach still figuring it out but half that Utah starting defense ended up in the NFL as did their starting RB. That was am extremely talented Utah team that just hadn't put it together. Most teams like that eventually have a game or 2 where they play a complete game and get a W.

Brett Ratliff also had a nice career as an NFL practice squad QB. He was legit and they knew it. BYU found out.

This Utah team is lacking ability at key spots. Don't be fooled thinking the Ratliff game was a surprise to everyone and Brandon Rose is capable of the same thing. That's not how it went down.
