I do not really see that as being disrespect towards BYU coming from any specific talking heads or anything. That is coming from thousands of people who are putting their money on the line in making bets on this game. That is not disrespect, that is just them weighing factors and putting their money where their mouth is, so to speak.

On the other hand, national prognosticators seem to be picking UCF in this game to win much more than BYU, at least from what I have seen. That may be where the disrespect comes in. But those picks being made are not really based on the 2 point dog status for BYU (though some may consider that as a factor), but just their guess as to who will win, regardless of the point spread.

On the other other hand, if BYU players are motivated by the betting line and feel disrespected because of it, well ... hey ... that is fine by me. Whatever gets them more focused and playing with a chip on their shoulder is totally fine to me.
