WE WANT TO ACTUALLY SEE OUR TEAM PLAY. Many of us live out of state and support monetarily and other ways from afar...to be denied access to watching the game is extremely frustrating.
By the time we play anyone who will even put up a resistance to this team, we'll have tons of film out. So denying fans the opportunity to watch this game doesn't help anything.
And you're totally wrong about the best college coaches not being concerned about fans. Nick Saban talked about his fans all the time and asked them not to leave early in games. Coach K at Duke spoke about his fans constantly. The top coaches ALWAYS want to keep their fans happy. Yes, winning is important, but recognizing that fans are the lifeblood (and a huge source of funding) for the college game is absolutely critical.
