“A run all the way to the Final Four earns five units, or an estimated $8.33 million.”
Well, that money may go to a conference to be shared instead of to an individual team— I don’t know— But I think that gives you a pretty good idea of what a run to the final four is worth. And if there’s a good chance a player will be able to take you there I think it’s a wise investment.
That’s just the units that the NCAA pays out. Advertising value may be more than that.
Of course it would have to be a player that represents the school well— You wouldn’t wanna pay somebody that type of money for bad publicity. But from all accounts, that wouldn’t be a worry at all with AJ.
