8 wins in a row is uncommon. 5 losses in a row is also uncommon.
Sometimes part of the equation is looking at streaks and the likelihood of them continuing. Is BYU more likely to win 8 in a row? Or is UCF more likely to lose 5 in a row?
Add in the travel across time zones, BYU historically not doing all that great in day games, etc., and it's not hard to understand why some would pick UCF to win.
