Cal sure seems like a solid team that is incapable of finishing a game.
- Lost at Florida State by 5, missed two FGs that were less than 35 yards in the second half and had a 1st down at the FSU 12 yard line with 1:20 left and couldn't score.
- Lost to Miami by 1, after leading by 3 TDs with 10 minutes left
- Lost @ Pitt by 2, after missing a 39 yard FG with a minute left, failing on two two-pt conversions, and getting in the red zone early in the 4th quarter and not scoring at all
- Lost to NC State by 1, after being up by two TDs with 12 minutes left and then missing a 28 yard FG with 1:30 left
