Yeah...so...the University probably has no control over the dates for this tour.
These broadway traveling shows require a TON of coordination to manage costs and logistics and the dates are set in coordination with dozens of other shows that will happen both before and after this stop in Orlando.

I don't like it, but this is a hugely popular show, so this is not a scenario where the University would likely be the one holding the chips and telling the show that they have to come this particular week because of the BYU football game. I'm honestly skeptical as to whether the people who coordinate the schedule even know who UCF is playing this week. The same show was at WVU a couple of weeks ago and it received top billing on all of the posters for events at that theater this season. This could be the headline show for the year for this University's theater. As such, while I'm sure there would have been some coordination on dates for the show to clear conflicts, I'm skeptical of the extent to which UCF directed the show be this week because of the football game against BYU.

So I don't think we should overreact...or even react...to this one.
